The short version, in writing.

The Workpool match fee is a one-time payment of $1,997 to Talented LLC ("Talented"). It covers: matched engineer profiles, delivered by email as soon as we've reviewed your brief; up to three introductions to engineers who opt in to your brief; short paid audits of your system by up to 2 engineers you choose, paid for by Talented; a retainer agreement template; and the swap and refund terms below.

One match fee covers one retained engineer. Each additional engineer you retain from the pool requires its own match fee.

Engineers are independent contractors you engage directly. Talented is not their employer, agency, or payroll provider and does not supervise their work. You agree the rate, scope, and terms with the engineer and pay them directly. You're responsible for your contract with them, your tax and legal obligations, and the access you give them.

Talented doesn't guarantee any engineer's work product. The retainer template we provide is a starting point, not legal advice.

If you don't retain any engineer we introduce within 30 days of payment, email us within that 30-day window and we'll refund the full match fee.

A refund is void, and the fee is owed again, if you or anyone acting for you retains any engineer we introduced within 12 months of the introduction (see section 5).

If the engineer you retain isn't the right fit within 90 days of their start date (180 days for founding-batch companies), you can retain another engineer from the pool without paying a new match fee. Tell us, and we'll send new matches.

For 12 months after we introduce an engineer to you, if you, your company, or anyone acting for you engages that engineer in any way (retainer, contract, employment, or through another platform), the match fee for that engineer is earned and payable. This applies whether or not you received a refund.

Share only what an audit needs. We recommend a copy of your code or read-only access, never production secrets or personal accounts. Engineers in the pool agree to keep your information confidential, but you control and are responsible for the access you grant.

To the extent the law allows, Talented's total liability related to Workpool is limited to the match fees you paid. Talented isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses.
